'Tiles'

Very versatile and original, this pattern is designed to allow you tat the whole motiv without cutting the threads until the end of the work.
As every tatter knows, cutting the threads while working is sometimes necessary, still quite unconfortable: it not only slows down our work, but also causes a point of 'weakness' over it.
it doesn't demand any particular abilities, except for the Split Ring Tecnique.

Enriching the lace with a glass beads frame turns into a precious result: this beautiful colour thread matches perfectly with pearl white glass beads and white-pink crystals to get a more 'elegant' jewel.

These aquamarine half-crystals have such a beautiful colour and they match perfectly with my thread: a beautiful fresh turquoise flying me straight to the Sardinian sea!







When I design patterns, my intent is always to find the better way through tatting my motiv: the most confortable way giving me the better results.

This simple pattern was quite hard to achieve: I had to find the correct sequence to get the squares in the right position: the result to me was a real achievement: the pattern allows you to choose both the heigth and the length of your motiv, and to some extent also the shape. 
The resulting motiv looks like a grid, into which you can fit a shaped decoration, as you do for cross-stitch embroidering. 

This being still a small tile, allowed me anyway to insert a black crystals cat decoration.

This bracelet offers you more possibilities if you want to enrich it with beads or crystals.
Here, I chose not to tat a frame around it, though I believe the frame would add preciousness to it.

This is how it looks like in a pink version: I tatted this for a custom request, and, though I didn't figure out what I would obtain, I was really glad with the result.

'The Sun Inside' Mandala tatting

 I love Mandalas, I love Mandala designs which I like to draw and colour, just like I did when I was a little girl.
In tatting, to start a new Mandala pattern is to me a sort of relaxing: I just join two shuttles threads and start with a loop, what comes next I don't know, I just let my inspiration come and carry me.
Mandalas meaning lies right there in their progression: the harmonic unity of creatures: each knot into an element, each element into the pattern.
Once the Mandala is finished, you just stop watching and enjoying its message of beauty...and start again to another ...

Even though it may look quite complicated, this Mandala came to me so easily, I never had to undo any stitch or part from beginning to the end.

I tatted it using a beautiful white polyester Penny 30 thread, which is quite thin and the resulting diameter is around 7cm.

If you like a smaller result, this is also how you can finish your pattern, maybe adding an extra very simple frame around this.

Using both solution can also be a perfect combination: the smaller module for earrings, the larger as pendant in a jewels set.

 

This is the same Mandala tatted in a beautiful Super Bright thread: this is a very thin thread, which I had to double before using. The resulting diameter is around 6 cm.

Now, I find it quite hard to show you how beautiful this thread looks: many wonderful colour shades and really sparkly!

'Blue Moon' earrings

This is one of my favourite designs: I never replicate my designs many times, my fantasy runs so much fast and I have to follow my creative frenzy, always chasing new ideas. That is why I only tatted these earrings in three different versions.
The black earrings look really elegant: I was particularily inspired by the small Miyuki drop beads 'Azure', which I combined to the same colour 11/0 seed beads. 

This mint gree version features beautiful preciosa iridescent green pinch beads, combined with the same colour (a perfect casualty!) Miyuki drop beads.

I suppose using a drop crystal instead of the seven drop beads you see at the earrings bottom would be a good variation: anybody tatting the pattern and doing it wanting to post the picture of your result?

Lavender colour thread. Blue iridescent Preciosa pinch beads and, as variation, iridescent drop crystals as bottom pendants, which I combined with same colour drop beads in the center.
